Who Be He?
They call him Phillip Retuta. He calls himself a visual & interactive designer, motion graphics artist, and illustrator -- an all-around artist. He's 29 years old, from Chicago, living in NYC, and has a lovely husky-lab mix named Nico. Currently employed as Senior Designer at a digital and social media firm.
What's All This Then?
Well, it's a fairly random tumblog of current and upcoming art endevours, photographs, comic sketches, creative philosophies, inspirations, and generally incomplete art projects.
So yeah, it's like a sketchbook.

Another night in Williamsburg. This time, however, I rode my bike from Crown Heights to South Williamsburg with my roommates Patrick and Morgan (a total of 7 miles, round trip — which for me, any exercise is a feat). It was my friend Klammer’s birthday, so we rode to East River Bar on South 6th Street.
Here’s the bar’s backyard, complete with a view of the Williamsburg Bridge, graffiti, and several dogs.

Pensive Patrick contemplates corgis, inverted crosses, and spritely but heavily-tattooed girls.

I recently bought the PX-70 Nigo Film Edition that has random, colored frames instead of the typical white. I’ve been using it with a OneStep Polaroid Land Camera I found on the street, and I’m happy to say that it works!

I worked from home today, and my roommate Patrick didn’t know. When he went to the bathroom to take a shower, I took my Mr. Potatohead toy and placed it directly on the floor outside the bathroom. I then hid inside my other roommate’s room, only to hear Patrick say, “Well, that’s the creepiest shit that’s happend today…”
He placed the Mr. Potatohead onto the kitchen counter, and as soon as he left, I put the toy on the floor with his arms menacingly outstretched.
